I can tell by looking, Mr. Burble is a vicious killer.

You'll think it's funny until he bites a finger off. ;^)

Your textures are wonderful. I like the soft but dingy color palette; the contrasts of the pudgy features and little flappy limbs with the strange and stark white eyes create a very precise, uneasy, conflicted reaction that is often targeted within the arts and rarely achieved. Fantastic piece; the most interesting thing is I could see a sense in it, I could see how it would move and behave, whether or not my impressions are correct - but he's definitely a finger biter, as you comment above. The round little belly and cheeks would be enough to get most people to try and touch him; I can see him very quickly closing around the digit, taking it cleanly off, and nonchalantly consuming it as the unfortunate victim reacted in relative shock. And yet, you still want to poke him, and see if he's warm.
The more I look at it the more I like the choice to use golds in the shadows - it's odd, but it works with the high saturation of the piece overall. At least that's my impression of how my monitor displays it. ^-^
