Description
Story of the photo:
A couple of my old friends are having their first child and asked me to paint something in their nursery. I didn't want to give their child nightmares, so I tried to paint something cute, and this is the result (which I finished yesterday).
You can see that in the original sketch he's not terribly happy. For the nursery I made his smile more peppy and gave him a lower set of teeth, so he didn't look too stupid. I think it works. I think he's cute enough, but I thought I'd open up the question:
Is he cute enough for a kid's room . . . or is this kid now scarred for life?
cheers,

Awesome work! - Love it
Very mixed feelings concerning the question though. Surely not scared for life (without a creepy background story it's just an uncommon "neutral" thing - and hey, maybe it even becomes something positive like "Sprinkles, the intergalactic tooth fairy" - on the other hand - I wouldn't put it in my child's room.
Besides, maxillary prognathism always makes me giggle and therefore i have to admit, the final painting's creature looks even slightly dumber > funnier to me.
Anyway - again, nice job
cheers
